Establishing A Dial-Up Connection

Set-up is free if no on-site visit is required, otherwise a one time $29.95 fee is charged to the subscriber. Limited subscriber help is also available for set-up by telephone.  Most subscribers can configure their own dial-up connection and e-mail settings by following a short tutorial.  This tutorial is generic in nature, since different operating systems are used by our subscribers.  Click here to view these instructions.

Customizable Spam and Virus Filtering
for Sulphur Canyon Customers

Click the icon to the right to go to the logon page for Sulphur Canyon Spam and Virus Filtering.  Enter your complete e-mail address and mail password to access your "Message Center".  From there you can manage your "Junk Email Settings" and "Virus Settings".  Try the different options, and be certain to utilize the "Sender Lists" for optimum functionality.  Click on "Help" at the top of the page if you have any questions.  This is a great way to deal with all types of unwanted e-mail, including Phishing schemes.

Phishing is a scam in which the perpetrator sends out legitimate-looking emails appearing to come from legitimate e-commerce sites in an effort to obtain personal and financial information from the recipient.  With consumers’ personal information, tech-criminals then commit credit-card fraud, identity theft and even perform unauthorized bank account transfers.

E-mail Account Maintenance Utility

We offer a do-it-yourself e-mail account maintenance utility that allows you to forward your e-mail to other accounts, and to create an "auto response" to a message sent to you (e.g., a vacation notification, etc.). You will need your email address and account password to access this utility.  Once inside the utility, expand "Administration/Mail/Account" at the far left.  The resultant screen allows you to make account changes.

Creating Personal or Business Web Pages

A directory on our web-server must first be set up by Dana Netz if you desire a website.  Five megs of website space are available to each subscriber at no additional charge.  An ftp address will be given to you for file transfers to and from the server.  If you would like to create your own web pages and don't know how, we have a short tutorial.  Otherwise, you will need to find a webmaster for your pages.

Also, we would be happy to list our subscribers web pages or sites on either our "Personal Web Pages" or "Business Web Pages".  Contact our webmaster (Jan Studebaker) to request this service.
